Token House Badgeholder Nominations

Please refer to the Badgeholder Nominations Roundup for the final list of valid nominations

As part of the recently announced retroPGF 2, voting badges will be distributed to a set of 90 community members. One voting badge will be given to 10 Token House delegates.

Each delegate with greater than >0.5% voting power may nominate 2 Token House delegates to be badgeholders for rPGF 2. All nominees must be individual Token House delegates that have submitted a delegate commitment by 12/5/22. Each of the 10 elected Token House delegates will be able to distribute an additional badge to an individual of their choosing.

If you have >0.5% votable supply and would like to nominate a delegate, please post nominations (using the template outlined here) below by December 14th at 7pm GMT.

Hi folks - we would like to nominate two delegates for this role. After working with both in DeFi Committee A, we are impressed by their sensibility and passion for the OP ecosystem.

  • Nominating delegate: Flipside Crypto

  • Link to delegate commitment: Delegate Commitments - #69 by fig

  • Link to verify delegation of >0.5% of the votable supply: Boardroom - flipsidecrypto.eth

  • Name of delegate you’d like to nominate: lindajxie.eth & katiegarcia.eth

  • Link to nominee’s delegate commitment: Linda Xie: Delegate Commitments - #37 by linda
Katie Garcia: Delegate Commitments - #18 by katie

  • Why do you believe this delegate should receive an rPGF 2 voting badge? @katie and @linda share a wide knowledge of the industry and have aligned incentives. We are confident in their ability to recognize and reward impactful public goods as they see them.

Best of luck to these two and any other delegates seeking nomination!

There is a trove of qualified delegates.

  • Link to verify delegation of >0.5% of the votable supply: Optimism | OP Token House - Delegate Voting Weight Tracker 🔴🏛 I’m #31 with 0.65% of votable supply at time of writing
  • Name of delegate you’d like to nominate: Stablenode
  • Link to nominee’s delegate commitment: Delegate Commitments - #59 by Bobbay_StableNode
  • Why do you believe this delegate should receive an rPGF 2 voting badge? Stablenode has been a diligent participant in Optimism governance from the start of Season 1. They have engaged with proposers to offer feedback and have consistently reported back on their reasoning for why they voted how they did. Beyond this they have also been an active delegate at Balancer where I’m a contributor. Despite the fact they are not compensated there they still take the time to provide thoughtful feedback and most importantly always vote - and we often have a lot of votes

From my interactions with Stablenode and Bobby in particular I can say without a doubt Optimism would be in good hands if they are granted a Badge for this initiative.

  • Name of delegate you’d like to nominate: Lefteris

  • Link to nominee’s delegate commitment: Delegate Commitments - #9 by lefterisjp

  • Why do you believe this delegate should receive an rPGF 2 voting badge?
@Lefterisjp has been both an unerring advocate for open source software, probably the most fundamental and relevant form of public good at this stage; and a constant contributor to governance of the OP Token House. Additionally they have demonstrated a very long term commitment to the wider Ethereum ecosystem, of which Optimism is finding it’s place within. All these factors combine to make Lefteris an example of exactly the type of person I want to see in this roll!

  • Name of delegate you’d like to nominate: OPUser

  • Link to nominee’s delegate commitment: Delegate Commitments - #26 by OPUser

  • Why do you believe this delegate should receive an rPGF 2 voting badge?
@OPUser has shown a dedication to Optimism’s Governance that I’d suggest few have matched, they have been active in almost every discussion since they joined, and recently have led the DeFi Committee C in Season 2. While they are not a well known name in crypto (like my other nominee) and don’t have their own project to promote, their lack of bias or ulterior motives that in my view would make them an excellent candidate to receive a citizenship.

@Firozasmust and @ego97516, the links to your Delegate Commitments aren’t working.

You can use the little icon of two chain links (next to the heart) on your original commitment to get a link that will work and get the nice Notion formatting.

First off… I would like to 2nd the nomination of @lefterisjp. Where this rockstar finds the time to contribute to OP I don’t know, but seriously an incredible contributor to the DAO.

I would also like to nominate @polynya

  • Nominating delegate: Me! griff.eth
  • Link to delegate commitment: My delegate post
  • Link to verify delegation of >0.5% of the votable supply: Me on Boardroom
  • Name of delegate you’d like to nominate: Polynya
  • Link to nominee’s delegate commitment: Polyna’s delegate post
  • Why do you believe this delegate should receive an rPGF 2 voting badge?

Polynya is also a rockstar, and their history on this forum speaks for itself. They have consistently provided valuable constructive criticism to the OP community on several proposals and contributes to the overall rollup space in general. If they will take accept nomination, I know they will provide extremely well thought out feedback to applicants and delegates alike.
