Specification
How will this Delegate Mission Request help accomplish the above Intent?
This solutions aims to facilitate the adoption of the existing OP stack through the zero-distance approach.
Zero-distance means closing the gap between the user and the builder.
If we want to drive user engagement to the Optimism Ecosystem we need to exit the web3 bubble. This means that we need to meet with IRL communities (neighborhoods), spend time with them, understand their needs, and implement solutions in the shortest time possible. This is done by bringing a several months-long bootcamp with builders directly to the neighborhoods.
Why Neighborhoods? These types of areas host people from the five helix that compose a society (Government, Academy, NGOs, Companies, and Citizens). If these neighbors learn how to self manage their neighborhood through the use of web3 apps such as SAFE, Charmverse, Snapshot, etcā¦ Thereās a high chance that they will implement this knowledge into their professional spheres, increasing the adoption.
Why gated neighborhoods? Neighbors within gated neighborhoods are used to pay for maintenance services, security services, and budget management. The majority of gated communities are unpleased with the centralized and untransparent way of managing their neighborhood. They recognize the need for other ways of organizing and managing.
Furthermore, these people share the common goal of living in an enjoyable and safe co-living space, which brings them together. They already represent a group with a shared desire and problems that can be solved through the existing web3 dapps in OP.
More about Zero-distance to customer: It is the main strategy of the most successful IRL DAO valued in $38 billion USD: Haier. Some of its key achievements are:
20% compounded growth annually over the past 10 years
22% compounded growth in gross profits
A success rate of 49% (!) in Series A funding of innovation projects.
