2025 Q2 Highlights: WakeUp Labs x Optimism

We’ve wrapped up two core missions, updated major tools, launched new initiatives, and kept collaborating with the community.

Mission Completed: Impact Evaluation Framework

We’re proud to announce the successful delivery of the “Making Impact Evaluation Accessible” Mission. This mission centered on updating the existing Impact Evaluation Framework, making it easier for Badgeholders and applicants to evaluate, track, and understand retroactive public goods funding (RetroPGF).

Superchain Accounts Are Live. Mission Complete!

We’re thrilled to share that Superchain Accounts, developed by WakeUp Labs and backed by the Optimism Collective, are officially live, and with that, the mission has been successfully completed.

What they do:

  • Onboard users with just an email (no wallets needed).
  • Seamlessly interact across Optimism, Base, and Unichain.
  • Earn points for using dApps like Aave or Uniswap, tracked automatically.

Optimism as a Venture Studio: Milestones 1 & 2 Completed

Our goal with this mission is to remove technical and strategic bottlenecks for promising teams building on Optimism.

What’s been done so far:

Milestone 1 – Selection Mechanism & Outreach

  • Published eligibility rules, public form, and scoring rubric
  • Outreach via X, Telegram, governance forums & direct contact

Milestone 2 – Project Selection

  • 15+ applications reviewed
  • 4 teams shortlisted
  • DAMM Capital selected to move forward with funding and support

:light_bulb: We’ve allocated 27,000 OP, focusing development resources on DAMM Capital due to their readiness and alignment with Optimism’s KPIs.

ZK Identity Toolkit – Privado ID v3 Now Integrated

As part of our ongoing maintenance efforts, we’ve upgraded our ZK Toolkit with Privado ID v3:

What’s new:

  • Unified API
  • Multi-network identities
  • Universal credential links
  • Optional AWS KMS support
  • Enhanced UI
