First Blockchain University Module in San Jose, Costa Rica [OP DAY #5]
For the 5th Optimism meeting in Costa Rica we are focusing the energy in CENFOTEC University in San Jose, Costa Rica!
Context: CENFOTEC is a tech University in the heart of Costa Rica
This Tuesday 25th of June, will be the first session of the Blockchain module hosted by a university in the country.
The continued presence of Optimism in the country is starting to show results. In the first posts of this topic, we discussed Optimism at CENFOTEC University. Since then, they have opened their doors, and now, we have applied for this mission. The university has provided me with all the tools and support needed to lead this 7-week module. Following the announcement made by @Gonna.eth on the Grants Council’s final decision, we are pleased to announce that our [Optimism <> CENFOTEC] mission request to take the SuperChain into Costa Rican universities was approved.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure to attend to an informatics event on The “Universidad Nacional de las Americas” UNA University, with Robert Ramirez @robertram were he gave a presentation about blockchain technology.
We are very proud to be targeting different universities and communities in the Country. Especial thanks to ETH Costa Rica.
I personally had the pleasure to invite the attendants to apply to the optimism module.

We have been promoting this special module online as well with tweets and videos, and the inscriptions are going to stay open until this weekend were we will announce the elected participants that will have the honor to be the first graduates of this first iteration of the module!
The results are as expected, we have many completed submissions because we have targeted specific markets of interest, and many views probably come also from the social networks promotions, that being said a 36% completion rate is still very high considering our form is 22 pages long and we ask specific information to make sure that only committed people finishes the form.
As mentioned on the mission request, we have created a governance topic here on the forum with the detailed information about this module. we will be updating everything about the optimism university module and inviting students to leave their feedback and experiences documented.
At the start of the program, a telegram private chat group will be created with all the students to create a communication channel for doubts and constructive conversations! for now theres only an announcements telegram group with all the applicants.
