Basic Info
Season 5 Intent: 4 Optimism Gov and RPGF into University Courses

Mission Objectives:
Implementation of OP educational modules distributed over two academic semesters with the goal of expanding to a minimum of two universities.

Progress Report

As of July 31, 2024, a complete blockchain module has been implemented at Universidad Continental. The content includes Optimism Gov and RPGF.

  1. Introduction to Blockchain
  2. Introduction to DeFi
  3. NFT 101: Beyond Art
  4. Optimism Governance and RetroPGF (Optimism Delegate as a Guest Lecturer)
  5. Optimism and the Superchain Ecosystem
  6. Digital Security in Web3
  7. Pricing Web3 and Business Models in Blockchain

Additionally, this is not a module in itself, but we took the opportunity to incorporate topics on blockchain, Optimism Gov, and public goods in the student congress.

Attestations and Impact Metrics

For easier tracking of topics, dates, and student participation, the OP mission has its own schema in EAS:

Attestations from Students

Dashboard Dune
For greater transparency, a dashboard has been developed on Dune where you can see the attendees and rewards delivered per session. Dashboard Link

Outreach and onboarding of other educators

For the development of the program, the incorporation and support of the Academic Director of Universidad Continental - Lima branch and a full-time professor have been crucial.

Next Steps

For the next semester, the module will be repeated at Universidad Continental. Additionally, the module will be incorporated into another university with a similar content structure and will continue participating in regional student congresses.

Please note that this is my personal opinion and does not necessarily reflect the views of GovNerds or any other structure where I’m serving.

I love the Dune dashboard! It would be great to have, at the end, an attestation from them to you providing feedback about the program and analyzing levels of satisfaction. Keep going!

Brichis, thank you for your comment.

Regarding the attestations from students, we are already doing this, both halfway through the module and at the end of it. However, since we use the same address to issue and receive the attestations, the latter end up getting lost in the explorer’s history on EAS.

To facilitate their visualization and reading, I have just added them to the Dune dashboard.

@blid would be very interesting in chatting to understand what your use case is better  I believe what we’re developing at Impact Garden can be very useful to simplify the user experience for your attendees.

Additionally, big kudos in the care taken in regards to the data stored onchain through the attestations.
