Welcome to express your thoughts and opinions, and also hope that the project can reward real users who have contributed to the development of the OP network. If users are used like donkeys, it will not benefit the long-term development of the project, and word of mouth will plummet.
This almost feels like a ponzi scheme. With this last airdrop you just reward the people that got in early and discourage to exit. I would suggest to mainly reward builders that attract actual users to the ecosystem. Most of the TVL still comes from greediness and pumping up bubbles instead of actual usage of blockchain technology. Find a way to distinct the real stuff from the gambling and you have a wonderful ecosystem.
Are you aware of the OP rewards that go out to retroactive public goods funding for the most active participants and developers who are contributing to the ecosystem ???
I myself have been building on this network for the past 10 months and now I am in the nomination round for the 10 million OP that are available for rewards next month…
I chose to be really heavily involved with the network on a level where it led me to a whole new opportunity that I never thought was ever possible in my whole entire life…

The token rewards are going crazy with the other protocols that are here applying for proposals and there are a lot of tokens going out indirectly to people that are not being airdropped so please remind yourself of this when thinking about the overall picture of what optimism is trying to accomplish here in the space…

So take for instance I have helped to educate people and spread the word about the Network as well as guide others for their proposals here on the governance forums and become heavily involved and fascinated with the way that this system all works as I learn more…

Hi there, question for you as someone who clearly knows what they’re talking about, my address is one the list of eligible addresses for Airdrop 2 with ~17OP slated to be sent my way. However… even though I’ve got the OP token already in my wallet (earned the airdrop for a decent sized buy a while back and delegating my votes) I haven’t seen the airdrop arrive. Do you have any idea why this would be?

It sure was a surprise Airdrop and importance given to involvement in governance directly or through delegation. This is also a way I think to have skin in the game by real OP believers and supporters in short and long term.

I think that’s the idea and in fact this airdrop was made precisely to support active users
Because of the huge amount of hype lately on the topic of Airdrop from Layer-2 projects, it is now important to separate the true community from those who are just waiting for an airdrop
All speculation is futile, I just hope the official can understand that users are the cornerstone of development, once offended by the public and abandoned by the market, the consequences will be disastrous; it is wise to release Airdrop #3 as soon as possible!
I don’t understand why delegation is that important and everyone who voted actively in a snapshot vote without delegation of their voting power didn’t receive anything.
Currently only governance participants who delegated their tokens to someone else or to your own received an allocation.
EVERY active participant in governance should receive the same fair amount
In my opinion, airdrop 2 is a market test . OP team are looking for a better math results for airdrop 3.
Airdrop 2 is designed only valued delegator and gas power user.
After Op Quest, all activity data falls and far behind Arbitrum.
It’s true that OP Quest attracts a lot of new users to try Optimism network.
So OP team needs to find out, which part of users are true loyal to Optimism?
I think most of the new users are attracted by clear tasks that you need to collect 10 NFTs for Quest.
For Arbitrum, you can play games like beacon, you can trade in GMX.
But Optimism ecosystem needs to grow.
So for Airdrop 3 , OP team must award all Questers as soon as possible. And launch Quest season 2 at the same time.
If no airdrop for OP Quest collector, there will be a huge disappoint for all participators.
And all attentions will drawn to Arbitrum or Zksync.
