Cycle 27 Grants final roundup

I am pleased to report that all applications were successfully reviewed, despite the additional workload stemming from Rolling Mission Requests. Both the proposals and voting processes required considerable attention, yet the team managed to meet all deadlines.

We received a total of 53 applications in this cycle, out of which 16 were approved. We extend our thanks to the Developer Advisory Board (DAB), whose insightful feedback was recognized by several reviewers and proved invaluable in reviewing the applications.

A special congratulations goes to Base, Mode, Swan, Cyber and Redstone for securing one of the highly coveted Superchain grants this cycle.

Looking Ahead to Cycle 28: we’re excited to announce that new Mission Requests that reached quorum are now live, and applicants can start submitting their proposals. Additionally, we are in the final stages of developing a new whitelisting process for Auditors, which will be formally announced tomorrow.

Submissions for Cycle 28 are open until Tuesday, 24th at 19:00 GMT. We encourage all applicants to review the feedback provided in previous cycles and refine their proposals to meet the 40-point threshold for consideration.

Thanks @Gonna.eth for sharing this information!

I just wanted to say that there are some evaluation criteria that do not apply to certain Mission requests, for example in this [Mission Request] Create Educational Programs that Empower Developers on Optimism - Modified with Lower Budget categories like “code audit, discretionary factor 1,2,3” since it requires code review and auditing.

As the auditors are agree to not evaluate that category:

And that mean that the proposal do not obtaining points in those categories, for example out of 12 points, in those categories zero is obtained for not validating the code, even if the mission request is to form educational programs to empower devs. If we continue to maintain these categories in this MR, projects will continue to be rejected. I think that these values should not apply to this MR.

I look forward to your feedback, thank you very much in advance!

Regards
Lili

Hey @Gonna.eth ! I agree 100% with @Liliop.eth.

In this Season we had several great educational projects applying and none of them could achieve minimum Score. Could you guys reevaluate some of the categories?

Thanks
Caio
