This mission request encourages small RetroPGF experiments from projects within the Optimism ecosystem. It aims to enable projects to have developers or other stakeholders, such as artists, develop on top of them. Additionally, this approach is intended to accelerate the RetroPGF’s ability to iterate and grow exponentially.

How will this Delegate Mission Request help accomplish the above intent?
This initiative will enable projects to have developers or other stakeholders, such as artists, develop on top of them. Normally, small projects strive to build their ecosystem but struggle due to a lack of funding. This kind of funding is vital for small projects to build their ecosystems. Additionally, this approach is intended to accelerate the RetroPGF’s ability to iterate and grow exponentially.
What is required to execute this Delegate Mission Request?
- Projects must be launched on the OP Mainnet.
- Developers or other stakeholders such as artists must be able to develop on top of the projects.
- Projects should not launch their own RetroPGF experiments in parallel with the official Optimism RetroPGF round. (People may be confused, can launch either before or after)
- Optimism native projects should take precedence.
- Projects shouldn’t be VC-backed with more than $1 million or have launched a token with a market cap exceeding $10 million.
- Projects must outline a plan for badgeholder selection.
- Projects must define the target grantee group (Developer, Artist, or Other).
- Projects must explain the purpose and benefits of the experiment.
- Projects must submit a retrospective report after the round concludes to facilitate learning and iteration.
