We plan to submit a proposal for this mission, but I had a question about the ongoing variable costs associated with running the AI. Has there been any thought given to providing a budget to cover the ongoing variable costs of either API calls or server costs based on the usage?
Very happy to know that @vonnie610. What would be the exact next steps to ensure that applicants will have available these read only API keys at the time of execution?
However, in the worst-case scenario, this mission request is conceived for projects to be prepared to extract information using more basic methods if APIs are unavailable.
New joiner here. Iād like to bring this project to a friendās attention. Heās more than qualified to support us. Does your comment mean that Feb 14th is a hard deadline for submission as well? I see no deadline here (it says to be set by Grants Council) nor on the CarmVerse application page.
Hello from Zambia⦠hope everyone is doing OK. I just came across this. So a few months ago, we created a GPT which enables one to learn about Optimism, get updates (new and old), and also has access to the Optimism blockchain, enabling user to input contract address to get information. How do I participate in this opportunity?
GM @Lady_Light_Lsk! The second round of applications opened on March 14th. You can find more information about the applications on the Grants Councilās communication channels:
Hope this email finds you well. Thank you for your prompt response, it is much appreciated. The opening of the second round of applications has come at the right time for us. We are currently in the process of organising ETHZambezi, running educational workshops during the course of this year and the conference planned for next year in May. Part of our curriculum includes introduction to L2ās aiming to on board as many Zambians as possible to use OP. In the meantime, I wanted to find out if we can display the OP logo for our upcoming āTrading Art on the Blockchainā workshop being held on the 11th of May at Open Window University in Lusaka. We will touch on how Zambian artists can leverage OP and benefit from the OP ecosystem. Your guidance in this matter is much appreciate.
We believe weāre best positioned to complete this mission request. We already have working versions of both the chatbot and governance summariser, and will continue to improve it for the OP community.
Can you expand on how projects can be expected to access read-only API keys? Itās understood that mission applicants should not depend on actions from the Foundation for their completion. However, itās a nice-to-have to know if these features are available currently or will be in the future, as well as the steps to begin utilizing them.
For read only keys (so long as it does not get out of hand, and by that I mean thousands of people asking) we can accomidate some keys.
That being said we are regularly hitting our API call limits, and may need to revoke keys if it begins to affect our Discourse server performance.
In terms of how to get a read only API key, dm me on telegram @op_vee with a link to your successful mission request where you required the key and I will appropriately label and generate a key for you.
Let me know if you have any other questions, hope this helped!
