Weekly Events

Optimism Fractal
The Respect Game is an exciting social consensus game where you get to showcase your work and collaborate with fellow optimists. Together, you decide who made the biggest impact on Optimism by ranking each other’s contributions. The rankings go onchain, and you’re rewarded with Respect tokens, offering recognition and value to the builders shaping the Superchain! :dizzy:

What opportunities does the Respect token unlock? You can find out about more information about the Respect Game in this article and learn about the benefits of Respect here.

Optimism Town Hall

After the Respect Game at Optimism Fractal, we’ll have a deep dive into Hats Protocol during the Optimism Town Hall at 18 UTC :sunflower::billed_cap::deciduous_tree:

We’ll be joined by David Ehrlichman, who is a co-founder of Hats Protocol, Haberdasher Labs, and the author of the book Impact Networks. The topics we might discuss include an exciting recap of the inaugural Hatathon (where the Optimism Fractal Hats Tree was selected as a co-winner), future synergies between Hats and Fractals, and David’s vision for Hats Protocol! You can learn more about David and the topics we’ll cover in this Snapshot proposal.

There is a surprise! Community members can propose questions and vote for the best ones with onchain Respect tokens. Here is a quick overview:

After a brief introductory segment, we’ll jump into a new kind of Community Interview game where community members can propose and vote on questions on the Optimism Town Hall snapshot space. If there are questions or topics related to Hats Protocol that you’d like to be discussed during the Town Hall, then you can post it on this snapshot space at any time and/or vote with Respect to influence the discussion. The questions proposed in the Optimism Town Hall snapshot space will be prioritized during the discussion in order of Respect votes.
