IRL Meetup
We organized a dynamic community meetup at Haab, a hot spot for cryptocurrency enthusiasts in Mexico City, on September 12. The event attracted 43 attendees and featured thought-provoking talks by notable speakers including Brichis.eth, Chuy Garcia, and Lalo Cripto, who specialized in discussing Optimism.
Virtual Meetup
We hosted a virtual meetup on September 18 via Telegram with around 40 community attendees to talk about Optimism stack, governance, delegates and a Q&A session. We really appreciate the participation of Brichis.eth and Cryptoreumd.

5. Optimism Delegate - Status: In progress
As other community members noted, we agree that finding a committed delegate to participate in Optimism’s governance is a complex task. We think the best way to have a new quality delegate from LATAM is to help passionate, active, and culturally aligned Optimism community members achieve the milestone of having a significant delegation to cover the requirements for things like approving missions. With this approach, we believe that helping @brichis increase her delegation could significantly impact the ecosystem. To this end, we kickstarted an initiative and invited other Mexican communities to join. This has evolved into a working group, made up of @Abraham on behalf of EC and @LauNaMu on behalf of (HER LATAM), in which we are working with Brichis to structure and execute a plan to increase her delegation, having a documented communication strategy with people who delegate to her, and other activities.
Consolidating Brichis position as a delegate for Optimism, by increasing her voting power, will have a deep impact on the community in Mexico, and she can act as a reference point to inspire more people to get involved in governance. We’ve already seen how her work increases awareness of Optimism for relevant builders; proof of that is the number of missions submitted by Mexican projects (Espacio Cripto, Criptoversidad, and others).
As this process takes time, we’ll keep working with her in the upcoming months to help her achieve the milestone of getting enough delegation to participate in a more relevant way in future Optimism governance.The clear objective is helping Brichis achieve at least 0.25% of voting power in the next 4 months.
6. Deep dive report about Optimism - Status: Completed 100%
Our research team, prepared the Optimism’s Deep Dive report that includes who are its founders, its history and culture, its scalability and collaboration in the superchain, the OP Stack and the Retroactive Public Good Fundings.
This is a 31 page report with numerous interactive charts, key insights, and information that provide an in-depth analysis of Optimism’s unique contributions to the blockchain and crypto ecosystem. Aimed at both newbies and veterans in the field, this report serves as a comprehensive guide to understand Optimism’s technology, governance, and its role in fostering public goods.
The report is available to download anytime in our web page and also was shared via our Newsletter: Reporte #2: Ecosistema de Optimism.
