I believe the proposal is fair and represents the ambition of the core team at Dope Wars. From the jump this has been an unbelievably hard working team that has weathered a lot of tough moments and brutal market conditions, yet always finds a way to push through and continue building and innovating. Optimism has been invaluable with the many txs needed for gaming on chain and it would be great to further incentivize this relationship.

Dopewars by far have one of the smartest and loyal community out there. The genius behind it where it started and where it is right now deserve a round of applause.
I believe that the game can be one of the greatest NFT/metaverse games that would cause a lot of traffic to OP.
It is this generations game, and will always be the game for future generations.
OP is very lucky that the DAO chose to build the game here and both the DAO and OP gov should support each other and work hand in hand cause this would benefit both parties.
To be honest, the only reason i heard about optimism was through dopewars discord, yet the game did not launch. Just imagineâŚ.

The DopeWars community is incredibly open, active and dedicated. Theyâve made great strides with small resources. Iâm confident that with proper funding theyâll be able to continue to create a unique gaming experience for the space.
I firmly believe that approving this proposal will benefit both sides of the ecosystem (optimism/dopewars) by bringing ongoing transactions from its main component of character minting, equipping, and customization, which is VERY Important for a âplay to ownâ model.

Dope war is a project that I have been following for several months and I can only be extremely enthusiastic about it. The team is made up of intelligent people who are fully committed to the project. I have seen their professionalism on many occasions and I have great confidence in their ability to see the project through.
In many ways the project seems to me to be really innovative and I have no doubt that it will be one of the gems of tomorrow. This difficult period in the market is an opportunity for the project which can lay solid foundations for a long-term adventure. I fully support this proposal, which would allow the project to continue to develop in a sustainable way and also to enhance the optimism ecosystem.

I come across their ETH Denver documentary by chance a few month ago & dug in deeper, the most impressive team & project in the space for me at this time. Possibility to be a real game changer.

I like the new distribution structure. While the requested token allocation is on the higher side, it is in-line with other Optimism-native projects in Phase 0. Dope Wars has a good track record on Optimism and has proven that they can deliver. They have my support to move the proposal to READY stage.

Thank you for making the changes are per community feedback, I still need to dig deeper into the proposal and read about what you are planning to build.
But on top level, I can suggest to you thing, 1M is a big number and 446K OP just for development is quite high. Development of a new concept is hard especially when its community managed, direction can change anytime, lack of motivation and unforeseen challenges.
I can understand why you are asking for 1M but you need to support you reasoning for 45% dev funding.
My goal is support with anything that can help gown OP ecosystem but from my tradfi experience, I also know that 40% project never goes beyond POC and if similar thing happen to your project we are wasting 450K OP token.

Iâll be voting against. 1M OP is far too large of an ask - this should be split into multiple proposals so the OP community can better judge the impact of the funds and if continued allocations make sense. Perhaps simply a proposal to cover the migration then you show how usage stats increased once everyone got to Optimism â that could make a good case for a second distribution.
I donât think itâs a good use of Phase 1 incentives to give you 446k OP to sit in your treasury to be spent at your discretion.
It seems to me a sound proposal.
25 % going to nft migration (its not likely to get near this amount in the next several months I would guess, which means the majority is likely to be unavailable to Dope Wars till the 1 year period, or perhaps if a game or mini game is launched within 6 months which could spur further migration (thereâs another point towards the treasuries holdings below).

25% Once the game launches. These are incentives for users playing the game on optimism, and can effectively make their gas transactions for the game free, with even something on top making it a true free to play experience, or play to earn without having to actual purchase game assets, as hustlers are free to mint. Not only does this present an opportunity to showcase Optimism as a gaming L2, but also mimics Optimismâs ethos allowing non token holders to have a say. In this case, non game asset owners to have a play, and even earn (and own).
45% On average, Dope Dao spending has been totaling under 20 to 30k for several, several months, even during much better market conditions. It is not flamboyantly spent and should offer little if any market pressure on Optimism, while leading to a premier game on Optimism that rewards its players.
The 45 % represents .2 percent of total Op supply in circulation 1/448th, and around .011 percent at max supply (4 billion plus) not counting yearly inflation that would be significantly beneficial to Dope Wars as well as Optimism.
An exploration of the Discord in the contributor channels easily shows this goes beyond a proof on concept. Magic on Arbitum is a good comparison to see the potential Dope Wars has on Optimism, and what it can bring the ecosystem.
This allocation could allow Optimismâs community to contribute to a project in line with its ethos, a project that highly values community contribution and is open arms for contributors of all types.

The dev funding will be used strategically to onboard new contributors to the Dope Wars eco-system and fund the development of different experiences in our MMO metaverse. Dope Wars has already created an open source SDK, which allows anybody to build-on and extend the DW gaming-legos. DW has surpassed the POC stage as we have contributors from around the world making Dope Wars MMO a reality.
Our end goal is to make Dope Wars self sustainable by generating revenue from many steams to ensure Its future.

1 million tokens is a huge amount of OP tokens for a projectâs ask. I would advice you to split the proposal into multiple proposals with smaller asks. This would make it so much easier for it to pass.
The game looks really interesting.
For the allocation I have some questions.
- 5% (48,420 $OP) will be used to remunerate a small part of fees suffered by early users Initiations prior to 25 March. Issuing ~30 $OP per initiation.
What is this? Why should Optimism pay for fees of your early users before the 25th of March? Or am I misunderstanding something?
So you split 25% as incentives to bridge to optimism and 25% as incentives to use the app in optimism? And then 45% for development. Right?

Thanks for taking the time to go through our proposal and for the suggestion Its definitely something we will consider.
The 5% allocation is for early users who showed confidence in Dope Wars to help us get to where we are today. These early users claimed their gear which in turn migrated their value to Optimism network before OP token was announced. It is for doing the same task as the first 25% allocation (bridge to Optimism) just prior to OP snapshot date.

I see. This is a nice initiative from your side, but you can see that itâs some sort of retroactive reward to a subset of your users which you ask optimism to pay for. But there is no incentive on optimism to do so as it does not give any benefit to it.
It would be nice if you removed that part from the allocation.

Unfortunately to my understanding we should not change the proposal during voting. Now that the proposal is marked ready we wonât be making any changes to this proposal. But we will take your comments for further discussions within the DAO.
