Season 8 and 9: Budget Board Member Ratification: vote FOR
We’re voting in favor of the proposed appointment of Budget Board members.
We see the creation of the Budget Board as a crucial step in strengthening the Collective’s financial governance. The eligibility criteria for the representatives are well-balanced. We believe the chosen individuals have the right skills and experience to carry out the Board’s responsibilities effectively. Their backgrounds in governance, data analysis, and strategic leadership make them a strong fit to contribute to the Collective’s financial decision-making.
The 12-month term is a good move towards making governance more consistent. Also, the transition of ETH staking management from the Foundation to the Budget Board it would be a good step in the right direction.
One last mention, we believe that, at this point, ratifications should involve a more accountable process before the voting concludes. For example, given the new structure, it is advisable for the appointed leader and members to formally discuss the matter with delegates at a higher instance. While we believe the previous actions were taken in good faith, we highly recommend following this practice moving forward to ensure greater transparency and accountability.
Upgrade Proposal #15a - Absolute Prestate Updates for Isthmus Activation & Blob Preimage Fix: no action
As an optimistic proposal, we’re not voting against since this proposal accomplishes the expected purposes. As it allows it to activate the isthmus hard fork, previously we voted in favor, and the bug, which we agreed should be fixed.
