I’m a candidate for Milestone and Metrics Reviewer.

Since early 2023, I’ve been actively contributing to the Collective, wearing many different hats over time. From my experience as a govNERD, I have a pretty good understanding of the processes. As a delegate, I have context on the grants that have been approved in recent seasons. In Season 5, I served as Anticapture Commission Lead, so I learned a lot about how multisigs work.

Specifically around grants, I was part of the Grants Council in Seasons 6 and 7, so moving to the M&M Council feels like a natural move. I’ve also decided to get more involved in Data Analysis, so I built a dashboard to track TVL growth of S7 grantees after they launched their incentives programs. This helped me understand part of the M&M processes, and being able to learn more sounds exhilarating!

I’m a candidate for Milestone and Metrics Reviewer.

Superchain Eco has extensive experience reviewing DeFi and Superchain initiatives. We have experience running 7-digit DeFi Funds, have been part of various Grant and Ecosystem councils across various projects (Safe, Lisk, Celo, Ancient8), have produced dozens of Superchain resources including the S6 and S7 Grant sheets and Dune dashboard, and have over 10,000 unique visitors on our website each month (see our stats).

We believe our expertise will positively affect the effectiveness of the M&M council and its ability to communicate with the Superchain ecosystem.

Excited to see someone from Superchain Eco get involved in this council! Could you clarify who is representing Superchain Eco in this role?

I think it’s important for accountability and transparency that the community knows who is stepping into a publicly elected position like this.

As a general thought I would like to see elected members of all Optimism Councils become more vocal about their roles and thoughts related to their work on these various councils.

Hi @Jrocki – great question, and happy to clarify. We’ve also wondered in the past who takes on formal responsibility when a group or brand submits an application.

In this case, @LuukDAO, our most experienced contributor, will be the person formally assuming the role. While he will carry the responsibility individually, it will be valuable for him to have the support of our team. In particular, @JashFi—who brings extensive experience as an analyst, individual contributor, and grant council member—and Chris, our Dune wizard, will be involved to provide input and feedback.

GM all!

I am excited to be a candidate for the Milestone and Metrics Council. I hope to have your support to continue serving the collective for another season.

I have been a member of the Milestone & Metrics council/committee for Seasons 5, 6, and currently 7, providing consistent and experienced oversight.

As part of Curia Lab, I’ve built governance tools like the OP Governance Analytics Dashboard and dynamic attestation to enhance transparency and support the collective. I am an active delegate and an active member of the Citizens’ House for the past ~2 years.

I’m applying to join the Milestones & Metrics Council.

At SEEDGov, we’ve been delegates since the inception of the Collective and over the past seasons we’ve taken on multiple roles:

  • Season 2: Tooling & Infrastructure Committee and DeFi Committee Group C
  • Season 5: Grants Council (Builder Subcommittee) and Anticapture Commission
  • Season 6: Anticapture Commission and Code of Conduct Council
  • Season 7: Lead of the Anticapture Commission and member of the Collective Feedback Commission

Beyond these responsibilities, we’ve worked to improve visibility into the Collective’s dynamics. We published several governance reports, including delegate participation analyses for Seasons 4, Season 5 and Season 6. We recently conducted a voting power concentration study in Season 7. We also built this governance dashboard. Currently undergoing opsec training.

@Pumbi will be the point of contact for the role with the support of the SEEDGov team.

We’d be glad to bring our experience to the M&M and help strengthen tracking and evaluation throughout Season 8.

Tané has been involved with Optimism as part of;

  • Grants Council in Season 6
  • Milestone and Metrics Council in Season 7
  • Anti-Capture Commission in Season 6 and 7

We have also been a major delegate with more than 1M OP voting power, contributing to the Token House.

As Tané, Takeshi and Shoji will be working for this council, while Shoji being the main representative.

Shoji has experience as a council member for Gitcoin and has led Tané’s delegate activities for Uniswap, Lido, and so on. Shoji’s practical experience with infrastructure projects for DeFi protocols and the growth of Napier Finance provides deep insight into the operational, technical, and strategic aspects of DeFi ecosystems.

Takeshi is our Head of Network Operations, who worked for Twitter as a senior software engineer and for SmartNews, a Japanese unicorn startup that provides a news aggregation mobile app with 30M MAU as a product manager.
