Voting cycle #31b:
Hey everyone! Below is my reasoning for voting on cycle 31b. Post will be edited over the next few hours as I evaluate and cast my votes.
Security Council Cohort B
To be honest, this was an extremely hard category to select. It is amazing to see such a strong roster of high quality applicants, and I would be pretty happy with pretty much any combination of these individuals/organizations to make it to the security council.
I decided to use my vote to boost those with the most skin in the game. These are the chains/teams that are building L2s that will be governed by these keys or are core contributors to the OP stack. These are: World Foundation, Coinbase, Ink, Test in Prod, and OP Labs.
Final reviewer election:
Voting for myself, Jack, GFX Labs, and Matt. In a lot of ways this is a dream team. We each bring a different perspective to the grants council (AI agents, prediction markets, RWAs, perps, DEXs and more) and also have a ton of experience with grants itself. I think each member has potential to make a positive impact in their own right.
DAB Foundation Mission
Having worked with Ed, he was a no-brainer as he was a strong member of the previous DAB. Skeletor & Danyal also have very strong & relevant experience and are aligned with Optimism, so I am voting for all three.
DAB Audit Mission:
After looking through the candidates for a long time, I decided that I would rather defer to other voters as a I didn’t have a lot of confidence in my knowledge on this topic. I abstained.
GrantNerd election:
Voting for Jrocki, Brichis, and Mastermojo. I have worked with these three and they have proven a strong presence in previous grants councils. They all go out of their way to help applicants through the process and are 100% Optimism aligned. I have confidence they will do a good job in this role.
Milestones and Metrics:
A ton of good candidates here. I voted for Varit, Mel, Lau, Anthias, Mmurthy, Takeshi, and Pumbi.
DAB Governance Mission:
Having worked with Will before, he is an easy choice. I also think Jepsen, Iain, Blockdev, and Shubham are qualified.
Grants Operations election:
Bunnic did a great job last season, easy choice here.
