I wanted to raise an issue that I think is important. I suppose that the day-to-day activity of Optimism takes place on Discord and that’s where most attention is focused, but this discourse [forum] remains a more public gateway, and often one finds threads/posts from users, curious people, etc., that don’t receive adequate attention. It would be interesting to create some incentive to prevent this from happening and to promote that people who haven’t had contact with Optimism feel welcome.
I agree with you-I’m not on OP Discord but check the news here. Have and optimistic weekend!
Me neither, and sure there are more. Op weekend to you too
Totally agree with you. The forum should be more than just a side channel—it’s a public-facing hub that reflects how welcoming and responsive we are as a community. If we want to grow Optimism beyond just the core contributors and Discord regulars, we’ve got to make sure new voices and curious folks aren’t falling through the cracks. I’d be all for finding ways to energize forum participation—whether through grassroots incentives, contributor spotlights, or even rotating community greeters. Let’s make this space feel alive and heard.
Stay Optimistic!
Exactly! Better odds of adding new members to the community, and also more transparency. Thanks for your comment. Stay Optimistic!
