Dope Wars no-sale rule violation

Thank you for that, yes we were absolutely granted this OP to spend on Developers and that’s exactly what we are doing.

It wasn’t me who referred to it’s value as that (USD) it was Coin Market Cap, Uniswap and every other part of Web3.

Let’s not be silly about this.

The point was, we were being faithful to what we said we would do. End of story.

What I would expect from Optimism is an apology for spurious claims made without due diligence and a congratulations for continuing to work so hard to support the network. AND a commitment to support DopeWars when it makes efforts to promote Optimism. In the past we have made huge effort to promote Optimism, and what we are doing, and received no retweets or hype from the Optimism side of the house.

This response is unreasonable. There was an individual that made claims, not the collective as a whole. Additionally, we the collective don’t promote any projects. Optimism governance has been supportive of your project by approving your grant and engaging in this conversation so let’s keep things here positive.

What’s unreasonable is the housing of this little echo chamber of pettiness.

It took Jack Anorak 5 minutes to actually just drop into Dope DAO discord, ask a few questions and find out what was going on.

Instead we got all this virtuous wannabe vigilante behaviour by people trying to get some cred at the expense of DopeWars.

When people are point blank wrong - (like saying we have been dumping OP to make games on StarkNet), usually they say sorry.

Anyway enough of this - let’s move on. Hopefully you all are excited that DopeWars is building cool stuff on Optimism. We sure are grateful that we got supported by the grant.
