Cycle 28 Grants Preliminary Roundup

This cycle received a total of 53 applications, which included Superchain and audit applications. Out of these, 8 applications were declined during Intake, while 4 were declined in the preliminary round, leaving us with 41 applications moving forward to the final review.

One notable highlight of this cycle was the new Auditor Whitelisting Initiative, which was a great success. We added 6 new audit service providers, bringing our total to 11. If you need an audit, be sure to check out our Audits Hub. Our current list of approved audit service providers includes:

  • Nethermind Security
  • Spearbit/Cantina
  • Trail of Bits
  • Halborn
  • Sherlock
  • Cyfrin
  • Decurity.io
  • Hacken
  • MixBytes
  • Ackee
  • Runtime

A big thank you to the Developer Advisory Board (DAB) for their dedication in providing comments on 100% of the applications we sent them. Their feedback continues to add valuable depth to our review process and helps ensure that applications are evaluated with a thorough and nuanced perspective.

For Applicants: As always, scores and feedback from the reviewers are available directly on your applications. You can navigate to your application and review rubric scores and anonymized comments on the right sidebar. This transparency helps applicants understand the areas that need improvement and what they excelled at.

The preliminary cutoff was set at 30 points, and the finalists for Cycle 28 will be selected based on a cutoff of 40 points. These finalists will be announced next Thursday.

Once again, I want to extend my gratitude to the entire Grants Council and all reviewers for their hard work, as well as to the DAB for their continued support.

You can find our database with all the finalists here.
