Welcome to the Superseed Delegate Communication Thread, a space where we outline our governance participation, share voting decisions, and offer insights on our role as a delegate within the Optimism ecosystem.
About Superseed
Superseed is building an OP Stack-based L2 that automatically repays user loans by harnessing multiple fee sources—like sequencer profits, interest from non-supercollateral borrowers, and daily Proof-of-Repayment auctions. This approach fosters a highly capital-efficient hub for DeFi, while upholding Ethereum’s core ideals of openness and user empowerment. By uniting these elements, Superseed strives to be the go-to destination for next-level DeFi in the Superchain.

We’re voting FOR the Budget Board Charter because it’s a practical, slow-and-steady shift from the Foundation to community hands. This new Board runs from May 1, 2025 to May 1, 2026 and remains advisory, final budgets still need Token House/Citizens’ House sign-off, so we gain real input without risking stability. We’re okay with the proposed candidates but are looking forward to delegates having more input here. We also appreciate that OP Labs employees are forgoing stipends so only independent members receive OP rewards. Lastly, we’re eager to see a serious look being taken at delegate feedback, like staggered terms, to improve the Budget Board in the Future.
Season 8 and 9 Milestone and Metrics Council Selection
We’re voting For this proposal because it introduces a simple, merit-based way to pick the Milestone & Metrics Council. This role isn’t political, and this method helps cut down on overhead, avoids unnecessary elections, and keeps the process moving.
Some concerns have been raised: the filters might leave out good contributors who don’t meet all the requirements, randomness could produce uneven results, and there are worries about shifting too much control toward the Foundation. Those are fair points.
But in this case, the trade-offs seem worth it. It’s a limited-scope role with clear guardrails. We think it’s a reasonable experiment and adjustments can be made later if needed.
