Has anyone other than the proposer contributed to this Mission Request?

I received helpful feedback about a similar Mission idea at the Grants Council Office Hours last Season and several Optimism Fractal community members have provided inspiration for this Mission Request over the past months.

@DanSingjoy good post. I would like to also sponsor this one if we can lower the amount to 50k OP.

Thank you Jrocki. That sounds great and I really appreciate your support. Do you want to make a modified version of this Mission Request with 50k OP budget or would you like me to create it?

Iā€™d also suggest considering keeping the 150k original budget that I proposed to allow for more flexibility. This would allow more high quality teams to invest deeply in educational efforts and as I understand the Grants Council could always choose to return the unused portion of the budget to the governance fund if there arenā€™t enough high quality applications to justify using the full budget.

Education plays an essential role in enabling more developers to build valuable applications on Optimism and I donā€™t see any other Mission Requests that serve this function. It is also worth noting that educational initiatives are not directly supported by Retro Funding this year and there currently arenā€™t many funding opportunities specifically for educators on Optimism. This Mission Request could provide an important resource for educators on Optimism to do foundational work and receive funding from the Collective. One other thing to note is that this Mission Request is open to multiple applicants, so it could potentially support multiple teams with a higher budget.

However as stated above Iā€™m open to lowering the amount to 50k and could make a modified proposal with this budget if youā€™d like. Please let me know whatever you think is best and feel free to make a modified version however you see fit. Thanks!

I just created a modified Mission Request that is exactly the same as this Sponsorship Request, except for the following changes:

  1. The total grant amount has been reduced to 50k OP, as you suggested.

  2. I added your name to the Mission Request and tagged you in the section about proposing delegate/citizen, while also linking to your post here.

  3. I renamed it as a Mission Request instead of Sponsorship Request, as instructed in the other Sponsorship Request about onchain social games.

You can see this modified Mission Request below:
