How will this Mission Request help accomplish the above Intent?

Create an Attestation-based contribution registry to help Optimism collectives better allocate government/partner/unallocated funding grants through on-chain contribution ratings.

What is required to execute this Mission Request?

In order to execute this task request, the content creator will be responsible for the following things

  1. On-chain contribution registration: an on-chain contribution network based on autonomous registration, voting, and determination of contributions, where anyone can register their contributions while others vote and determine the amount of work to be done to meet the goals
  2. Contribution evaluation system: through autonomous registration and effective on-chain proof, a set of contribution evaluation algorithms are set up to analyse the contribution of the governance fund allocation to the target and the corresponding indicators.
  3. Sovereign Identity Proofing: the contribution recording and rating system can be linked to personal identity. A set of contribution-based sovereign identity proofs is formed

Expected deliverables

  1. On-chain contribution registration system, based on Attestation’s proof of contribution, by means of self-registration of contributing members, voting by collaborating members, and confirmation of contribution, etc.
  2. On-chain contribution evaluation system, based on the registered contribution records, analysing the achievement of tasks, and at the same time, analysing the contribution of the governance fund allocation to the target and the achievement of the corresponding indicators.

How should governance participants measure impact upon completion of this Mission?

  • Milestone:

    Milestones should represent tangible progress in the deployment of the tool or application, while also clearly defining the functionality that will be completed and available at the end of the licence period

  • Metrics:

    Registration of contributions in the chain, helping the Grants Committee to determine the completion of tasks, Optimism Grants utilisation efficiency

  • Impact:

    How many users did the grantee’s project bring in? How did the project contribute to the growth of developers?
