Mission Request: We Heart the Art, We Have the Art!

Delegate Mission Request Summary:
We Heart the Art: We now have thousands of artists and creatives in the superchain to submit in one of the largest art & design contests in the world… What comes next?

A mission to create and establish a nurturing art & design community– an online space for, but not limited to, a collection of artists and on-chain creators & collectors on OP, especially of those who joined one of the largest art contests in the world We Love the Art. This mission specifically aims to continue OP’s work of bringing artists on to the superchain by creating a collective that provides a space or avenue for artists and art appreciatoOors, encouraging them to do more work and other activities on-chain.

How will this Delegate Mission Request help accomplish the above Intent?

  • Grow the Superchain
    • More unique contracts will be deployed across the superchain due to increase of NFT contracts and experiments deployed
    • Contest winners trickle down wins into:
      • creating more on chain projects
      • supporting other artists
      • engaging in protocols & other projects such as DeFi
    • Guaranteed interaction from >50 unique addresses considering even low estimations of NFT minters
    • Encouraged creation and usage of on-chain tools in activities involved such as use of submission tools and contract deployers
  • Improve the Consumer Experience
    • Creation of a space where artists, creatives, collectors, and protocols continue to love and appreciate the art (say no to isolation!)
    • Establishing a place of contact between on-chain users and crypto projects and protocols looking to have more eyes on projects
    • Creation of an in-house design service where artists can submit bounties created by anyone, may they be in Web2 or Web3
      • Making the collective self-sustaining as projects pay for expenses in exchange of art, design help, and promotion
    • The mission request is a direct engagement of consumers and users of on-chain use cases (!!)
    • WeLovetheArt has brought unique addresses on to the chain, whereas this initiative advocates for the repeat transactions of these new addresses
    • Retain WeLovetheArt submitters and increase transactions of projects housed in the OP chain

What is required to execute this Delegate Mission Request?

  • Contact of WeLovetheArt submitters to call that there is a place for them to stay <3
  • A core team that handles:
    • Research for project spotlights
    • Creating communal activities and weekly calls
    • Youtube channel to create content, produce shows, and record/document activities
    • Outreach for design and art bounties in web2 and web3
    • Curation for the art and design produced

How should the Token House measure progress towards this Mission?

  • The mission utilises funds for over a 3 month period in which the collective shall become self-sustaining
  • Cannot do the math on this at the moment given that the budget requested are just estimations and need more advice from OP individuals

How should badgeholders measure impact upon completion of this Mission?

  • The collective should have had:
    • A twitter community with X amount of organic followers
      • Producing curated projects created by artists
      • Promotion of projects and protocols housed in OP chain
      • Bounty alerts for artists and designers
    • A full discord with a running in-house design service, weekly calls, curated art section, spaces for artists and projects
    • Website to submit bounties from Web2 individuals and projects, learn more about the collective, feature content and videos created by the collective
