Interesting. How would a Hub giving away free courses benefit the Optimism?

To help train developers, creators, builders, investors, etc. than can all in turn contribute to innovation on Optimism. Basically we would be supporting and nurturing growth, knowledge, and the development of skills, with the side effects of innovation, appreciation, and trust. I can’t think of how that wouldn’t benefit Optimism even if some people used what they learned elsewhere.

Our bottleneck now is how to identify and locate those contributors to give them the EXP token. We have a lot o them inside the DAO but we should reach out to other developer communities and coordinate efforts to bring everyone in!

As the Op of this link posted: we really need to bring no coiners to the community. Nobody thinks about those who are far from this technology and they have too much experience and value to share. I think we should keep thinking in how to give a step in this direction.

It would be great for some OP holders to share their knowledge being rewarded by some karma. It’s a matter of stopping thinking about individualism and being incentivized to make the collective stronger.

Hello, revamping this thread I just wanted to let you know guys we are starting to give EXP tokens to those who create developer’s educational content. It’ll be nice to compile all this in one place and start some sort of university.

It woul be important to have it in an easy to check place. This forum? A Wiki? Gitbook? Any idea?
Education about gobernance would be important too.
I love the idea, and that’s a great way of seeing it. If it can create a memorable onboarding experience or a learning opportunity that brings real value to people, they would have very positive associations with Optimism long-term.

Hey-- following up here because am wondering if there have been any developments on OP education? Think it is a fantastic idea, but am interested in execution efforts.
Would agree with prev. comments that lighter lift via YouTube might be good.
Potentially enlisting a group known for work like a “WhiteBoard Crypto” might be a good way to outsource some of this work to a channel that has a pretty established platform and has developed a strong reputation.

100%. I’m facing language barriers and I believe that a course would be an easier place to translate texts: divided into topics and with options for different languages
some topics i would like to see
- blockchain and public goods
- optimism
- Retroactive funding
- Quadratic funding

Definitely a good point – what are some of the bigger global language communities we could target?
First languages that come to mind are: Chinese, Spanish, French, and Portuguese.

Agreed… Thailand seems to be an integral part of OP network so don’t leave them out of the equation here.
I have been working really hard to gather a global community and find translation help…
We are using a peer 2 peer educational token rewards protocol called PEERANHA to help educate our international users.
We are also building an educational NFT platform which may help serve as an educational hub for collectors and creators about Optimism. It is going to be focusing on Public Goods and educational content related to OP governance. I’m thinking an attestation station built in related to gov education is also in our plans now after learning about the integration recently.
