Superchain Research Competition: OP Governance and tokenomics
@SuperchainEco in collaboration with PrimeDAO are organizing the Superchain Research Competition to accelerate the Superchain. Any researcher can submit blogs of 400-1200 words with at least one visual that explores one focus area:
- Analysis of Governance Fund Grants’ Contribution to Intents and Target Metrics
- High-Signal OnChain Actions for Engaged Governance Participants
- Comparative Analysis of Grant Programs and Their Failure Modes
- Comparative Analysis: Optimism vs. Other Layer 2 Solutions
- Equitable Representation
- OP Staking
Submissions: August 7th to August 28th
Top 5 prizes: $250 to $500

This week, AltLayer announced the first ever NearDA public testnet!
The testnet was built in partnership with Nuffle and on the OP Stack. It offers lower costs and brings increased scalability.

Code of Conduct Council Elections
During the voting cycle #25, delegates will elect five members to join the Council Lead @juankbell. Voting will be live on vote.optimism.io until August 7.

Special edition Token House Call
The Token House Call was moved to Tuesday August 6th. Ben Jones (@ben-chain) will join to review information and answer on Blockspace Charters and the first charter proposal: The Standard Rollup Charter. This is a great opportunity to ask all of your questions on the topic.

Security Council Nominations
If you are interested in becoming a Security Council member, nominations are open!
Candidates that meet the criteria of reputation, alignment, and technical competency, among others, may self-nominate until August 14th. Each nomination must then receive approval from 8 of the Top 100 delegates by August 19th.
Elections will take place during Voting Cycle #26, 6 months before elected members take their position. To self-nominate, follow instructions on this post.

Applications are open for Delegate Mission Requests! Season 6 will have 6 cycles with 6 submission periods where applicants can apply for approved missions.
Interested in applying for a Mission Request? Find an approved mission on the Mission Request List and apply by November 6th.
