Mid-Season 6 Grants Council Report

Looking at the upcoming Retro Funding 6 and to simplify voters data research we want to share some key numbers and progress from Grants Council Season 6 so far.

Key Highlights:

  • 222 total applications received
  • 53 grants approved
  • 9 Superchain grants approved
  • Over 170 applications passed the preliminary review and at least 6 reviewers scored the applications
  • 47 mission requests were reviewed, including those seeking council support
  • 32 mission requests authored by the Grants Council
  • Milestone and metrics subcommitte reviewed 148 completed projects during season 6 and reporte to The Foundation for delivery.

Breaking it Down by Cycle:

Cycle 25:

  • Total applications received: 60
  • Passed to preliminary review: 50
  • Passed to final review: 44 (Only 3 reviewers had full context)
  • Approved applications: 15
  • Superchain applications: Deferred to Cycle 26

Cycle 26:

  • Total applications received: 70 ( 24 being carryovers)
  • Passed to preliminary review: 64
  • Passed to final review: 54
  • Approved applications: 17
  • Superchain applications: 2 (Derive and Fraxtal)

Cycle 27:

  • Total applications received: 53
  • Passed to preliminary review: 47
  • Passed to final review: 39
  • Approved applications: 12
  • Superchain applications: 6 (Base, Mode, Swan, Cyber, Lisk, and Redstone)

Cycle 28:

  • Total applications received: 50
  • Passed to preliminary review: 39
  • Passed to final review: 35
  • Approved applications: 9 (2 pending approval)
  • Whitelisted Audit Providers: 7(process opened this Cycle)
  • Superchain applications: 1 (Mint Blockchain)
