My reasons for wanting to be a delegate:
Curve is one of the biggest DeFi players, including on Optimism. We have good observations about needs of users - LPs, arbitrage traders, “manual” traders. Thus, we believe that our contribution to Optimism governance would be very positive for the ecosystem.
My view on the Optimistic Vision 149:
The Optimistic Vision touches upon “decentralized democracy” topic. We have pioneered few models around that (such as ve-tokens), and very much share this vision. It will though be a long way before decentralized governance can truly expand to real world, and we all have to learn and experiment a lot before then.
My view on the first three articles of the Working Constitution:
- 100% - in view of what was said before - experimentation is good!
- Resonates with us also (ve-token model was exactly to counter-act shortcomings of simple token governance). But maybe one can do better? Let’s see!
- This looks a bit like progressive decentralization, starting centralized. We don’t use that approach, but of course we would really love to see everything transitioning to fully decentralized as fast as possible.
