Users who sold the initial OP airdrop should become ineligible for all future airdrops

你他妈是hop派来的汉奸吧,怎么不说持有op少于2w个的不给后续空投?

Disagree. You can’t tell if the user really sell them, and the intitial airdrop is kind of rewarding the earliest users, what they are gonna do with the token is totally their own choice.

Agreed, the OP should be the long-term project with long hold supportors

agree with your thoutht

That’s great for community and upcoming airdrop …

It’s a reward, isn’t it? They should be able to do whatever they want with it. If they want to sell, they can go ahead and sell. The tokens will go to someone else who will get involved in governance instead of the seller. Also, just because someone sells the tokens does not mean that they will not be involved in the ecosystem in some other way. If you just use the “dumping rewards” category to exclude future reward without considering other forms up involvement, you end up penalizing legitimate users.

right
his proposal is to discuss excluding such accounts in all the future distribution of Optimism’s airdrop.

Totally agree, great idea

I don’t fully agree with this proposal: what happens to the ones who swapped OP into ETH to provide liquidity on Uniswap? Do you want to “punish” them as well?

As always the wallet behavior is more important imo: if someone only claims the token and dumps it immediately without any other interaction this should be monitored and taken into consideration

Beats the very purpose of decentralization. Anyone and everyone has the rights in this space to do what they want with their airdrops. There are people who sells initially and then rebuys it lower as well. Price of token is speculative, you can’t help it, plus selling and buying defines the value of the token. Selling one’s airdrop doesn’t mean they don’t believe in the governance, if such exists, then BTC for example would be up only without downfalls. This is a weird proposal by bagholders who are seething of missing to take profit at higher value than now.

This proposal is too extreme, there are many reasons for selling airdrops, some of which are actually justified, not just value extraction. From the perspective of the project party itself, if the experience is maximized, not only will it not lose users, but it will gain more users to use OP

脑子有屎,这个人绝对是间谍,还嫌币价不够低

Although the intention is good and many people agree with the principle of it, it would be hard to distinguish between people who dump, and people who are still interested but would simply like to take some profit.

An alternative would be, those who sold more than 66% (2/3rd) are to become ineligible for all future airdrops?

a very selfish and inconsiderate proposal. understand people have different circumstances. penalising people for taking profit in the name of they not caring about the protocol is not wise. they qualified for this airdrop because they were deemed to have contributed in one or the other in the first place.

this proposal is just trying to prop up price in the short term. if OP is a good project you don’t have to force people to keep their tokens. price will gravitate to where the value people place on the project.

leave sellers alone.
in any case every token that was sold was bought by someone else. the holders can decide to participate in the governance if they want.

i wouldn’t have been able to increase my stack if someone had not sold

good idea, i support you

unfortunately i wasn’t eligible for this airdrop, what criteria i should met to be able to join in next airdrop.

I agree on the reasoning but it may not be a great approach to completely exclude dumpers. Someone who dumps their tokens could still end up contributing to the ecosystem in other ways. A better way would be to just make their airdrop smaller and give a fat bonus to those who hodl’d

couldn’t agree more!

I don’t think that’s a good idea. There are many reasons why people might have sold their drop. Including they may simply not have believed in the protocol. Also, a lot of Influencers have spread the claiming method on their channels, so it’s hard to tell what’s what in those situations, not to mention it’s completely contrary to the idea of decentralization

There is only one result of this proposal, more user principle Optimism, which will force the project side into a dead end. The best way is to have a good experience, increase the price of Token, and embrace the community, so as to attract more users to use the L2 public chain of OP
