Yup I think so sir, or maybe drop abit
YES! and give more bonus to who still hold , staking , locking on OP chain
Weâre waitingâŚ
We need the next information immediately, sir.
Sure seems like a direct rebuttal of the ethos of the Optimism Collective. Good idea.
Agree with you!
Blockquote quite a few good actors have delegated, have added LP etc.
Good actors should be rewarded
Agree! Justice for all!!
well cant agree to this cause as well as some taking advantage of an incredible project like this , some also relying majorly on it to sort out real life financial problems ⌠either way we can only feel sorry they`ll be missing out
I think this idea should be modified to exclude people who re-bought later on. It is well known that token prices dump after airdrop releases, so those who believe in Optimism the most should, if acting rationally, sell all their tokens early and buy even more later on!! We are trying to create incentive-engineering systems that guide behaviour in the âcorrectâ direction, so it seems outrageous to me that we would punish people for doing exactly as the system has guided them to do!!!
I really hope this doesnât gets passed if we compensate the people who took profits they may move to other chains like Arbitrum, Zk Sync & Starkware. Maybe have a lock up period for the early sellers like 40 days - 90 days.
Partially agree sir. I think holding duration and sold portion should be considerend as well. It is understandable for someone who needs some liquidity or small profit. We should focus on people who hold and reward them.
Thanks
PS. I still fully hold all my airdrop sir
Thank you for standing up for those who held the token and actually care about the governance and the future of the project.!
TBH, I didnt agree with you since there are a lot of users who are a real users, so maybe just banned the following wallet, but not all of the ppl who got the first airdrop. They can be considered as the contributor to help grow optimism and be a part of this community.
i have a few situations to consider:=
-
Someone who sold all, waited for the price to drop and re-buy OP at a lower price. Thatâs how trading works for many. Sell 30000 OP at $3, then buys 50000 OP at $1. He makes a $40000 profit whilst buying even more OP then he got from the Airdrop.
-
Someone who sell all on a DEX, buys ETH and bridges ETH over to Optimistic and tries all their protocols. All the gas fees on Optimistic is in ETH and not OP. Value is being added into the Optimistic.
-
If everyone keeps their OP and not sell, then a Whale can just sit and wait for the price to hit $10 for instance and sell. We small fishes will die when this happens.
Everyone has their own reasons to do what they want. They put effort into getting the airdrop and those sybils were also eliminated by the OP Team. For those who do not have so much funds from 3rd world countries struggling to get back from the pandemic, this is a good income for them to survive. Not everyone is rich and wealthy. Many of us got into crypto because we didânt have any jobs during the pandemic and this was one way to make ends meet.
Disagree with 0xJohn
All users are not whalesâŚ!!!
Many users have less funds to interract with other dexes within the optimisim ecosystem, and in order to interact with other apps in the exosystem they would require fund and they may use their reward to do so as well.
We are talking about decentralization and its individual decision what he has to do with his rewards
Totally agreed with you.
The carrot works better than the stick. So reward those that show desired behavior by actively participating in governance instead of punishing those that sold (for whatever reason).
Iâd vote positive on behalf of this proposal.
Hi,
I think that punishment isnât very optimistic.
Just incentivise people who are really contributing to governance, delegating their tokens, voting instead of punishing people for selling their airdrop.
Iâm against that proposal. I was not eligible for that airdrop, but when you give something to someone else you accept also that he could do whatever he would with that gift, or it is not a gift.
Also if these dumpers has been gifted, they has contributed to the grown of the project using it, and their dump also could onboard new users thanks to an affordable price.
how about NO!!!
WTF is this
