Hi, would be great if the Optimism community can have more details about the RetroPGF 3; Round Design covering the matters below.

(1) The concept of public goods funding its significance to the Optimism ecosystem.

(2) The learning objectives for RetroPGF 3 particularly the specific aims to be achieved through this round and how it builds on the lessons learned from the previous rounds.

(3) The specific metrics or benchmarks to measure the success of the improvements such as what are the measurement metrics “better data quality” whether in terms of data accuracy or completeness etc.

(4) Some hypothetical scenarios or case studies to illustrate how badgeholders can use Lists effectively to help them visualize the practical application of this new tool.

(5) The steps to actively participate and contribute to the ongoing development of the system whether it’s signing up, providing feedback, or participating in the RetroPGF initiative.

Looking forward to some information on the above.

Cheers.

Hey Vincent, The collective mirror account has some answers

You can read here and here

The conclusions of RetroPGF 3 are not yet public but you can read about the scope here:

You can read how impact = profit was suggested. Every Badgeholder is allowed to use its own metric system.

From personal experience, I used lists to see what other badgeholders, that I trust, recommended. I didn’t use their allocations but I got exposed to many projects I didn’t know.

I’ve seen a list used to sort projects in categories, from good projects to bad projects and I believe there was a “vote 0” list I didn’t pay attention to.

You can learn more about Bdgeholder’s points of view by visiting this thread.

  • Participation depends on that stage of the RetroPGF.
  • The badgeholder nomination process was during September
  • The Signup process was from Sept 21 to Oct 23
  • The review process was from Oct 24 to Nov 1 (anyone could report any participant)
  • The voting cycle was from Nov 2 to Dec 6.
  • Now we are in feedback and reflection where OP Foundation gathers everyone’s opinion for the next RetroPGF cycle.

You can participate in every step.
