This communication thread will be used to provide transparency into buyback execution via OTC. We will update this post with links to any relevant dashboards and will post execution details monthly. As the program authorizes 50% of all revenue generated in 2026 to be used to buyback OP, the program will commence in February, using January’s monthly revenue.
Here’s how buyback execution timing will work via OTC.
First month of Buyback (February): ETH to OP conversion using the month of January’s revenue will be completed between T+25–35 from February 1.
After the first month, execution will happen at the same time each month during the same window.
After the completion of each monthly conversion to OP, this thread will be updated with details.
Our intent with this timeline is to minimize execution risk. If this timeline changes at any point, we’ll post updates here.
OTC execution is a temporary implementation until we transition execution fully onchain within the next ~6 months.
The first monthly community buyback has been successfully completed, funded by January 2026 revenue. During the execution window, 1,574,817 OP was purchased using 95.8 ETH. Proceeds have been settled to the following wallet:0x36c4E68daA1c58dbe2f593528fdDC667EdF633DA
The second and third monthly community buybacks were successfully completed, funded by February and March 2026 revenue respectively. During the execution windows, 6,951,453 OP was purchased using 367.905 ETH (February) and 925,654 OP was purchased using 50.16 ETH (March), for a combined total of 7,877,107 OP using 418.065 ETH. Buyback execution is clear, but capital allocation is still not. With Base uncertainty, each future buyback should include a public treasury impact report, strategic rationale, and clear onchain custody timeline. Transparency must mean more than monthly purchase numbers.
