GM! I’m supportive of the Security Council receiving Retroactive Funding absolutely; however, I’m not sure about requesting ETH. Why? From my understanding, ETH revenue is supposed to be distributed to public goods, even though currently RetroFunding comes from the initial allocation. In my opinion, this seems like a topic that requires more discussion with the wider community because it could set a precedent for any council to request ETH instead of OP, which could be problematic in the future.
Also, I’m not sure about the price being considered. According to CoinGecko, the 7-day average price of ETH on July 16 should be ~$3,000. Based on that, and being 100% honest, I would prefer to repurpose funds from past seasons, for example, unspent funding from the Grants Council.
