We don’t know Martin personally, but we’ve heard a lot of good things about him from people we trust, so we think he should be given a chance to participate in the Security Council elections, especially since he was part of the Security Council last season. However, we would encourage Martin to provide more background on himself and his experience before the elections, as his self-nomination is not very detailed on that front. We are an Optimism [delegate with sufficient voting power](https://vote.optimism.io/delegates/0x1b686ee8e31c5959d9f5bbd8122a58682788eead) and we believe this proposal is ready to move to a vote. ---
