I understand that becoming a delegate is a significant commitment: Yes, I understand.
My reasons for wanting to be a delegate: I am passionate about DAO governance and the possibilities that it presents. I am also very interested in exploring better ways to achieve public goods funding, and I want to support the work that Optimism is doing by becoming an active delegate.
My view on the Optimistic Vision: I agree with the approach and model of the Optimism Collective. By focusing on promoting positive impact through the funding of public goods, we can build a more productive ecosystem and reward impact-makers.
My view on the first three articles of the Working Constitution:
- I agree. By being open to experimentation, the collective will be more flexible and responsive. We can learn better, adapt faster, and apply the lessons learned towards the development of the bedrock constitution.
- Checks and balances are necessary to maintain a balance in power, and a balance in incentives. This is important for effective decentralised governance.
- I would like to see the Foundation’s influence reduce over time as the governance system becomes stronger.
